Silver Lake is 104.3 acres while the watershed is 970 acres and is heavily urbanized. It has an average depth of 24 feet and a maximum depth of 51 feet. Silver Lake is managed by the City of Everett.
There is no developed boat launch, but there are three City of Everett parks with public access. Thornton A. Sullivan Park on the west side of the lake has many recreational opportunities. Car-toppers can be launched at Hauge Homestead Park on the southeastern side of the lake. Green Lantern Park on the northeastern side of the lake has fishing spots.
See the Snohomish County Code Title 12 and the Parks and Recreation Boating Regulations for more information.
The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) maintains informational pages for each lake in Washington that include: fish stocking schedules, fishing prospect calendars, and boat launch information.
Silver Lake does not have a formal lake association. However, there is a Silver Lake Neighborhood Association. You may also be able to connect via Facebook or Nextdoor.
Starting in 2019, the City of Everett began contracting with the Snohomish County's Lake Management Program to conduct monthly water quality monitoring. The information collected in 2019 is available in the Health Report Card. You can also download the 2019 water quality data at the link below.
For more information, you may also refer to the City of Everett's Penny Creek Basin Plan which is the larger watershed in which Silver Lake is located.
